The School of Civil, Commercial & Economic Law, established in June 2002, after university’s faculty mergers and reforms, is now the largest school of CUPL. The school offers both Ph.D and LLM in Civil and Commercial Laws, Economic Law, Civil Procedure Law and Environmental Law. The school consists of 1021academic staff members, including 24 professors, 50 associate professors, 12 Ph.D supervisors,52 LLM supervisors and 18 administrative staff members. Currently there are over 2000 undergraduate students, 373 masters students and 131 doctorate students in the school. The school also hosts Institute of Civil & Commercial Laws, Institute of Economic Law, Institute of Civil Procedure Law, Institute of Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Unit, Revenue & Banking Law Unit and Labour Law & Welfare Unit.
Our school currently has exchange and joint programmes with nine universities law schools in Italy, Germany, Sweden, Australia and Hong Kong. With teaching excellently and high profile research team led by famous professors such as JIANG Ping, WU Changzhen and Wang Weiguo, the school has received wide reputation from the academia home and abroad.
